Print out copies of the Olympic schedule that we've compiled for your class.  OlympicSchedule.pdf

This schedule can help students understand when to expect coverage of events during the 16 days of the 2016 Olympic games along with having a list of events to use for calculations.

The activity is a discussion on how the various events are judged. Are winners determined strictly by measurements or are grace, audience rapport and style important? And if so, how are these subjective evaluations protected against bias?

You can lead your class through the discussion with this free movie.  You will have to pause the movie between each slide until you are ready to continue the discussion.  Or members can use our PowerPoint presentation below.

For members we have a PowerPoint presentation of the above movie (The PowerPoint is easier to control and has more interesting transitions) and solutions/teacher talk to fill in extra information that you might wish to have.
