The winter Olympics torch trip

Olympic torches are being carried to the deepest lake, the highest European mountain, into space, and around the host country to bring the Olympic flame to Sochi on February 7, 2014.

In this activity, students can witness the Torchs' trip and calculate how much each torch cost, how much profit was made and how far the flame has traveled.  Rubels to dollar conversions, kilometers to miles, kilograms to pounds, distance traveled in the ISS and a trip worth noting.
