Peeps
Peeps
"How many Peeps do you think are sold for Easter in the U.S.?"
In this updated activity, students start by making their own guesses for the number of Peeps sold each Easter. They then consider what information might help make their estimates better, and use the given information to improve their guesses. Students share their estimates with classmates, calculate the mean, and compare. Throughout the activity, they will be explaining their reasoning and thinking critically.
Note:
An infographic is provided in a separate PDF to support Question 5. Share it with students as they begin this question, either by displaying it on screen or providing printed copies.
