Tooth Fairy

Ask students to think back to when they were losing their baby teeth. Did the Tooth Fairy visit? Were you paid well, or were you disappointed? The average Tooth Fairy payout has climbed from a little over $1 a tooth in 1999 to almost $6 today. 

In this updated activity, students will read the Tooth Fairy payout chart, predict the next payouts, and calculate how much the Tooth Fairy needed to cover every kid in the U.S. last year.
