Monster cake
Jodie Berman, a future math teacher, loves mathematics and loves to cook. We’ve created an activity based on her Monster Cake from her blog Binomial Baker. Students find the surface area covered by M&Ms to approximate how many M&Ms she needs to finish her cake.
When Brian tries to make the cake, he mistakenly adds too much peanut butter. Now all the ingredients will have to be increased by what percent? Do the math.
